2011 Health Awareness Fair

There will be a Health Awareness event held, hosted by Doctors Express and Stratford University. The event is aimed at helping to educate the public about health care services, careers, and education opportunities in the health care field, as well as presenting ways the community can get involved and live a healthier life. The free event is open to the public and will feature health-related exhibits, information, and prize giveaways. There will also be free health screenings and demonstrations.

The event will also feature free massages, a kids’ corner, food cooked by the Stratford University culinary department, raffles, screenings, and a book signing by Chef Rock Harper, the Season 3 Winner of FOXs “Hell’s Kitchen” and author of “44 Things Parents Should Know About Healthy Cooking for Kids.”

Participating organizations include: Aflac, Appleyard Insurance, American Diabetes Association, Arbonne International, Assoc. in Gastroenterology, Capital Hospice, Back to Health, Humana, Chinn Rec Center, Golden Living at Home, Inova Physical Therapy, Lavender Retreat, Neibauer Dental Care, Max Muscle, PW Clean Council, Red Cross, Shaklee, Studio 13, USANA, Virginia Family Chiropractic, and many more.
