Photo Gallery | 11th Annual Community Preschool Fair

This morning the MOM's Club of Burke-North, a local chapter of the MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) Club International, held their 11th Annual Preschool Fair at the Burke Fire Station.

"This event is a great opportunity for parents to ask questions and compare preschools. There are a lot of preschools in the area so it can be overwhelming, especially for new parents," said Angela Garzlaff.

Local moms (and some dads!) had the opportunity to speak with representatives from 28 various preschools in the Burke/Springfield area in one easy location. Every guest recieved a raffle ticket upon entry and the raffled items, which were generously donated, included a Kindle Fire, a Lego birthday party, a Kerig coffee machine, Mary Kay Makeup, a free oil change, gym memberships, and more.

"We definitely jazzed the event up this year by adding a bake sale, and invited the Fairfax County Sheriff's Department to do child ID cards for free," added Angela Garzlaff.

The event was free and open to the community and this year all of the proceeds will be donated to Messiah UMC's Weekend Backpack Program to feed hungry, local children.
